Singapore Airlines: Cargo Agents Award 2017

Singapore Airlines Cargo, in collaboration with Bangladeshi GSA, One World Aviation Limited, organized the ‘Agents’ Award 2017’ on 23 July 2017 at The Westin Dhaka. To recognize the outstanding support in FY 2016-17, Singapore Airlines Cargo organized a social gala night with the prominent business partners.
SIA Cargo Regional Vice President West Asia and Africa, Mr Shum Velu, GM of Singapore Airlines Bangladesh Mr Twee Min Wang and Managing Director of MGH Group Mr. Anis Ahmed were among the distinguished presence in the event. In his keynote address, Vice President Mr Shum Velu mentioned the progress made by Singapore Airlines Cargo, including the highest tonnage uplifted by SIA Cargo from Dhaka in FY2016/17 – which is a remarkable achievement in last 30 years of SIA’s operations in Bangladesh.
Mr. TM Wang, GM Bangladesh also thanked the agents for their seamless support and shared the great news of three additional SIA flight frequencies from Dhaka from 19 July 2017. He noted that the additional flights depart at 1325hrs on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays is popular amongst passengers. These flights would offer additional belly-hold capacity for the growing cargo market in Bangladesh.

The agents were awarded for their dedication in three categories, namely – Gold Award, Silver Award and Bronze Awards. Dallah Bangladesh, Expo Freight Limited, and Total Transportation Ltd were the three companies accorded with Gold awards. There were six Silver awardees, Dart Global, Geodis Wilson, Kuehne & Nagel, Scanwell Logistics, Topstar Cargo and Trust Cargo. And the Bronze awards were given to Alpha Logistics Limited, APM Global (DAMCO), Cross Freight, Expeditors, Sailors Shipping, and SG Logistics.


The award ceremony was followed by a friendly exchange of felicitations and an exquisite dinner among all the agents and distinguished guests.
