MGH Group Participates with Three Stalls at the 27th US Trade Show

MGH Group participated in the 27th Us Trade Show, 2020 which lasted for three days starting from the 27th of February, 2020 till the 29th. The conglomerate showcased three stalls of US multinational corporations – FedEx, Travelport and P&G.

MGH Group represents FedEx, a multinational delivery service company, through BANEX and Travelport, a global distribution system multinational, through Galileo. 

The Group also looks after the distribution of P&G in Bangladesh, a multinational consumer goods conglomerate. Notable brands under P&G at the stall were – Pantene, OLAY, Oral B, Gillette, Pampers, Whisper, and Guard Razor.

“BANEX tries to explore new opportunities and US Trade Show has always been a great support. We are looking forward to participating in the coming years as well”, said Zakir Hossain, Head of BANEX.

With trade and investment ties between the USA and Bangladesh ever-rising the timing of the event could not have come at a better time, said the Chargé d'affaires of the US Embassy in Dhaka, JoAnne Wagner.

According to The Business Standard, trade between the two countries amounted to a staggering $8.2 billion in 2018, which has effectively doubled compared to ten years ago. With US exports to Bangladesh amounting to $2.1 billion and Bangladesh exports to the US to a staggering $9.2 billion in the last fiscal year. 

The Fair also held seminars on education opportunities in the US, USAID’s private sector venture and US business visa application process as well.
