“Sitting back and waiting for someone to notice your work will get you nowhere in this cut-throat corporate world. To succeed, one must always be on the lookout for new opportunities and be willing to face challenges head-on,” said Marwa Samir, Head of Sales, MGH Egypt.
Soon after her Master’s in Business Administration, Marwa started to work in MGH as a Junior Accountant, when MGH’s operation was just starting in Egypt.
“Having the opportunity to work in an organization from day 1, while building everything from scratch and then watching the results unfold for the last 8 years, is what gives me the motivation to continue working hard every day.”
Marwa believes in a world where women aren’t valued the same way as men, it is very important for women to speak up. One must be always clear on their purpose and pursue it adamantly in order to be successful. However, this is one sector where MGH has never discriminated against any gender but rather provided equal opportunities to everyone deserving.
MGH gave Marwa the exposure to the world of business and in her 8 years here, she feels she has gained twice as much in experience. From Accounts, Management, Legal, Administration to now the Sales Head, Marwa has got the opportunity to learn about every aspect of the business.
